Rev. Dr. James Choung led a house church in Los Angeles, served an urban church plant in Boston and worked at a megachurch in Seoul, South Korea. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on postmodern leadership development, received a graduate degree from Gordon-Conwell and studied management science and marketing at MIT. His work is featured in Christianity Today, Leadership Journal, Outreach Magazine and exploregod.com. James presented to the Foursquare cabinet last March, then wrote an article for Foursquare Leader on the topic of multiculturalism. He likes to travel with his wife, laugh with their children and play tennis.
Peter Henderson took over as senior pastor of Living Way Fellowship in his mid-20s. Since then he has instilled in his church a passion for disciple-making movements to unreached people groups. He also serves on the board of trustees for OMF International and is a founder of Global Call, an organization that champions church planting and leadership development in East Africa. Peter, his wife, Jill, and their two daughters welcome you to their home state for this year’s Foursquare Connection.
Keith Jenkins is a passionate, inspiring and humorous communicator who uses his personal testimony and transparent delivery of the gospel to connect with people across cultures. He earned his master’s degree in strategic leadership from Life Pacific University, served as a Marine for 10 years, was a chaplain with the University of Oregon football and basketball programs, and has served churches in Southern California and the Northwest. Keith and his wife, Coco, have three adult children.
The only thing Wendy Nolasco, a self-professed foodie, loves more than good food is gathering people under Jesus’ name. As MidSouth district supervisor, she oversees 117 churches across six states. She was previously an executive pastor at New Life Church (Bakersfield Southwest Foursquare Church) in Bakersfield, Calif. Wendy is a pioneer focused on growing communities of Jesus in the most culturally diverse district in the U.S. Her and her husband, Sal, have three children, Lola, Diego and Phoenix, and live in Georgetown, Texas.
Frank Nuño is the senior pastor of a contemporary multicultural church in Southern California that has expanded under his leadership and now includes six campuses with eight congregations. Frank’s greatest passion is developing healthy, innovative leaders who are empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead and reproduce healthy, innovative churches. In their downtime, Frank and his wife, Ann, enjoy watching action movies with their two teenage children and experiencing summer vacation adventures as a family.
Randy Remington was elected president of The Foursquare Church during Foursquare Connection 2019 and will take office Sept. 1, 2020, after one year of shadowing current President Glenn Burris Jr. Randy previously led Beaverton Foursquare Church in Beaverton, Ore., and has served as a missionary, divisional superintendent and a member of the Foursquare cabinet. He and his wife, Sandy, have three adult sons: Joseph, Sam and Thomas.
Danielle Strickland trains, advocates, inspires and mobilizes people to transformational living and compassionate action. She established justice departments for The Salvation Army, launched global anti-trafficking initiatives and equips leaders worldwide to put action to their faith in Jesus Christ. The author of five books, Danielle also is co-founder of Infinitum (infinitumlife.com), Amplify Peace, Brave Global and Women Speakers Collective. Affectionately called the “ambassador of fun,” Danielle’s first Connection talk in 2017 was met with much laughter. Danielle is married to Stephen and is the mother of three.
Tiffany Thurston was born and raised in Hawaii, and led worship for Connection 2016. So we know we’re in for a powerful time of worship again this year! She has been a worship leader for almost 10 years, beginning at New Hope Oahu (Oahu South Foursquare Church) before touring with Revolve, a national conference for teen girls. She has also been the sole backup singer for Natalie Grant since 2007. She founded BLOOM in 2013 to inspire girls to become all that God created them to be. She currently lives on Oahu with her husband, Keoki, and their two sons.
